Paul Martin

I was very sad to hear that a friend I had come to know through blogging had passed away today - Paul Martin. Some of you may have visited his blog, Original Faith, which is no longer up. I often mentioned his blog in past posts here, like David Hart and Nature, but he had been ill for a long time and eventually stopped blogging as his illness progressed. Paul did write a book, though - Original Faith - and you can read more about him and the book ...

Hi Crystal

Just wanted to let you know that I've started blogging again. Just a little blurb about today's gospel reading. I'm going to try and do that every week...I think it will force me to really think about passages that I might otherwise not give much thought to.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

Oh, thanks for letting me know. I would really like to spend more time thinking about the gospel readings.

Hmmm - I tried to post a comment at your blog but I'm not sure it worked.

That's weird. I tried and it worked fine (then I deleted it), so I'm not sure why it didn't work for you.

You know where it asks you "comment as" ... I chose Google Account but after I click the publish button, the comment doesn't appear. I don't think I can use any of the other options. Wonder what's wrong. Here with my own comment thing, it has me signed in as "crystal (Google Account)".

Oh, a thought .... maybe my comments automatically went to your spam place (in the Comments section)?

No, I checked. I'll have to look into it.

I'm very sad to hear of Paul's passing. He was a cyber-friend I met through blogging. I recall the many interesting discussions Paul's posts prompted on his blog. I lost track of Paul when I stopped blogging for a number of years, due to health issues. I was thinking of Paul and his book. I was looking for an update on him and his book when I found your post. Rest in peace, Paul, you are remembered.
